Nothing phone 3a series review: Smartphone maker Nothing has launched its new phone (3A) series in India which includes Phone (3A) and Phone (3A) Pro. These mid-range devices come with the IP64 rating, which keeps them safe from dust and water. These devices have an advanced glyph interface with 26 customized zones, which also added new ringtones and notification sounds. We used these smartphones for a week and now we are presenting a detailed review.
What did we like
Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro are the best options according to the price. They come with premium design, magnificent display, powerful camera and smooth performance. If you want a powerful smartphone at an affordable price, then these devices will not disappoint you.
What we didn’t like
Its design is quite stylish but the charge is not given in the box. Apart from this, its charging speed is also nothing special, it has not been able to provide that fast charging compared to the rest of the phones in the segment. Along with this, its periscope lens could also be improved.
Final decision
Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro can prove to be a great smartphone in the mid range segment. It has a great camera setup and stylish look which attracts users. At the same time, people can like its price. Because it is difficult to find such great features in a single smartphone at a price less than 30 thousand. However, the absence of charger in the box and slow charging speed may disappoint people.
Design and display
The Nothing Phone (3A) and (3A) Pro have a 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED display with 1,080×2,392 pixels resolution. They support 1,000Hz touch sampling rates in 120Hz adaptive refresh rates and gaming mode. The screen comes with 2,160Hz PWM dimming and its peak brightness can reach 3,000 nits. Panda Glass has been used to protect the display.
6.7-Inch screen gives great experience for watching, gaming and multitasking. Color acurecy is excellent and brightness levels are also powerful, which makes it easier to see on screen even in the sun. Both Phone (3A) and (3A) Pro keeps the colors natural and the rebelity is not affected in bright lights.
Talking about the design, the phone (3A) has a great camera layout which looks similar to the phone (2A). Its back panel is now made of glass, which gives more premium feel than the previous polycarbonate design. However, its frame is probably made of plastic, but its matte finish gives a good grip and does not even have fingers. The volume buttons of the phone are on the left and the power button on the right side.
The design of the Nothing Phone (3A) Pro is slightly different. It comes more wide and in a boxy look than before. It has a large circular camera module at the back, which gives it a distinct identity. This device comes with a triple camera system, which is fitted in this circular camera setup.
Nothing has also paid attention to sustainability in this series. The central frame of the phone uses a fully recycled aluminum while the circuit board has 100% tin and 85% steel recycled material. 60% of plastic in the phone is taken from sorcery sources and plastic has not been used at all in packaging.

The Nothing Phone (3A) Pro has a 50MP Samsung primary sensor which comes with 1/1.56-inch size and its aperture is f/1.88. It supports OIS (optical image stabilization), EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and 2X in-sensor zoom. Apart from this, it also has a 50MP Sony periscope telephoto camera, which comes with 1/1.95-inch size and f/2.55 aperture. It supports OIS, EIS, 3x optical zoom, 6X in-sensor zoom and 60X digital zoom. Also, it has an 8MP ultravide camera. The device has a 50MP front camera for selfie.
The Nothing Phone (3A) also has a triple camera setup, which has a 50MP Samsung main sensor (1/1.57-inch, f/1.88 aperture, OIS, EIS). It has a 50MP Sony telephoto sensor (1/2.74-inch, f/2.0 aperture, 2x optical zoom, 4x in-sensor zoom, 30x digital zoom). Its front camera is 32MP. The camera quality of these phones is excellent in affordable price. Even in low light, they capture photos with the best details and natural color tone. From wide-angle landscape to close-up shots, the performance of these cameras compete with many expensive smartphones.
Performance
The Nothing Phone 3A series has a 4Nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. This phone runs on Nothingos 3.1 based on Android 15. The company has promised to provide OS updates for 3 years and security updates for 4 years.
The day-to-day performance of these phones is smooth. No lag is seen during multitasking, browsing and streaming. Even during gaming, these phones give excellent performance with smooth graphics at high-frame rate.

Talking about the battery, both phones have a 5,000mAh battery which supports 50W fast charging. According to the company, these devices are 0 to 50% in only 19 minutes and 100% charge in 56 minutes.

The initial price of Nothing Phone 3A in India is Rs 22,999 (8GB + 128GB) while the 8GB + 256GB variant comes for Rs 24,999. 12GB + 256GB variants are also available in some international markets. This phone comes in black, blue and white color options.
At the same time, the initial price of Nothing Phone 3A Pro is Rs 27,999 (8GB + 128GB). Its 8GB + 256GB model is available for Rs 29,999 and 12GB + 256GB variant for Rs 31,999. This phone comes in black and gray color.
